Well, I have committed to a coaching program through Glenn Dietzel. The program has a team of expert’s in the business world, who will help you find success in your writing. This is accomplished by allowing your creativity to also become profitable. This program is called, Books Mean Credibility. It is a coaching program designed to help you write a book; and, get it published on the fast track.
The whole process of getting published; is more than, a little confusing. The idea is for an author to get their book idea, out of their heads and into the process.
I think this may be the extra kick in the pants that i need; to help me to follow through. Oh, for a girl with big ideas and a breakdown, when it comes to following through (when things get complicated or confusing); it might be, just the thing!
Glenn and his team will be taking internet marketer, Kenneth A. McArthur, through the publishing process. He will author this book in 12 hours of writing time. Then the process of publishing will begin. It should be interesting to learn, by watching the process.
I will be able to apply the same process to my own writing experiences. This one- on- one coaching can cost thousands (which i certainly do NOT have). I committed to observing this program for a whole lot less than that, let me tell you!!!
If it works…it will be a very, small investment in my transition from an unpublished author to a published one.
If you are interested in such a program, you can go to: http://www.jeffreywellman.com/recommends/credibility . Take a look and see if it is what you are looking for; to get your work out there to the masses! Have a successful day.
I followed up the link and was mesmerized. It has started a whole new (focussed) train of thought.
My speciality is couple counselling and I have a book in my head called ‘surviving on your own – to living alone and loving it’ The intial part covering the hurtful bits of that situation (separation/divorce) , then you turn the book over and start on the possitive side of the situation. – yep, there is one for you if you are willing to work at it.
So that would be one target audience.
The second target audience would be couples who would like to work on their relationship without going there. I would like to write a book for couples or individuals that focuses on work/life balance and self care. Most of my work (indiv or couple) has those components in common.
Thirdly (totally different audience) I would like to write a series of children’s books. Family oriented books (didn’t know that before today!) Books that focus on relationships – relationships with Grandma (Oma) Granddad (Opa) Mother, Father, Siblings, friends, a favourite teacher, pets. Not moralising stories although they would have a ‘learning’ component. Maybe about fair/unfair, our feelings vs other’s feelings, chores – I’m probably old fashioned in my beliefs – I believe a parent’s role is to make themselves redundant – or to put it otherwise, to
make their kids independent. Mostly they’d have to be fun.
Just to make it more difficult I’ve decided to start on the kids books. I have a set of characters – grew them today – although they have been perculating a little while in the subconcious I think. Now I’m onto the theme(s) of the story(s)
We’ll see where I go with that. Feeling awesome!
Will let you know where I go with it.
Would like to take part in the programme you mentioned. This depends on time really. I wouldn’t be good getting up at 3 or 4am to sit at the computer. I’m one person who needs their sleep to be able to work effectively with people during the day.
Have a happy day. I was going to say have a smashing day and keep being reminded that although we both speak English (ha) American English and NZ English are different languages.
