Britney looses it

     Oh man, if it is true…if Britney has lost custody of her children that is heartbreaking.  Obviously, children need to be safe, loved, and appropriately cared for.  I hope that someone is there to be a safety net to a mother who is going to be in great pain.  She is somewhat cut off from her normal “safety net of family relatives” who could otherwise be there for her and the children.  This tragedy could get way worse if conditions are allowed to spin even farther out of control.

      It has been obvious that things are going from bad to worse in her world.  Is it true that drugs and alcohol are involved; mental illness, who knows?  The media plays this stuff like it is some kind of entertainment.

      What it is, in general, is heartbreak; for Britney, her family, her children and her fans as well. Each person who played a part in this mess has to share partial responsibility for the way things are.   

       It is painful to watch this self- destruction (you can’t help but be a witness to it as it is plastered on the news, entertainment shows, print mags at the check out line in the grocery) . 

     Now, I am not a teen fan…just an observer of this sad drama; but, i can honestly say, that someone needs to help this girl out.  Maybe the courts will be able to help her through this mess… as well as her ex-husband and the children. 

      I don’t know if someone who is truly affected by drugs, alcohol, or mental illness (if in fact any of those things are true) is capable of taking care of herself, let alone her children.  So, the courts step in.  Just like thousands of “real everyday people” who’s families are in the same sort of situations. 

     ******** Healing takes time and there are always repercussion’s.  Hope that healing can come without the permanent loss of parental rights as there is pain involved in the future for the children when that happens. At the ages her children are…..minor pain and adjustments will be forgotten….but something more serious could happen if this situation is allowed to continue.  Better temporary pain now then life long misery. 

      There will be court ordered investigations, testings, psychological evaluations and all of that type of thing.  Plenty of fodder for the media to run with for months on end. 

      Let’s just hope that they remember that this is a real family (famous, but still a family).  It is a family that will carry the scars of this situation for life…no matter what the outcome.

      Those children will grow up…go to school….learn how to read; and, will watch replayed video when they are old enough to comprehend the situation.  Please, spare them the public humiliation.  They are the innocents in this.
