Well, i did take my kids to the movie The Game. It was a wonderful movie. There aren’t too many movies that are family movies; but, i can honestly say..that when this one comes out on dvd…i will buy it. Had laughs and touching emotional moment in it that made it worth watching.
When i got home there were 4 messages for me on the answering machine. Two were from my dad. That doesn’t happen because my dad doesn’t like talking on the phone. I knew it was important. It was about my mom.
Seems while they were out last night at a musical function…my mom passed out on a walkway ramp. A lady was with her and went to get my dad…she was on the floor and out. They had to wake her up. She was sweaty but said she felt ok. She just couldn’t breath and that is why she passed out.
Dad took her to a doctor and he is setting up a stress test this week. He checked her vitals and they were ok today. Whatever it is can’t be a great thing. She has been short of breath lately. Last year she had pneumonia pretty bad and since then she has had some trouble. But, this is different. So, i hope they get her in for the test right away this week.
Aging really is a scary thing. The last 6 or 7 years have been difficult for both my parents physically. They both have had cancer and a variety of other problems. I dont like it one bit. I dont want to ever imagine a time without either one of them. Ahh…heck…i am emotional big time.
