Thanksgiving…the meaning of it all to me is understanding that everything good in life is a gift. We must remember our manners and thank the one who provides it all; God.
It has been a rough year in a lot of ways…but still through it all…we do thank God above. It has been a difficult time with Dad having cancer, getting treatments, blood clots and my husband’s layoff that doesn’t end, bad destructive storms here and around the world, shootings, infectious diseases in our school, homeschooling, changing churches, disappointing news, broken down vehicles, high prices (on everything) and the list goes on and on.
However, so does the list of all of the good things. Changing churches, Dad’s treatments, blood clot discovery and healing, husband finding a new way of providing for our family, insurance, great friends and family, a home to live in, food to eat, gasoline to get through another day, healing and support of friends and family…this list of things to be thankful for are endless. It starts with my own personal attitude…my attitute must be right to be thankful. I need to start thinking of the positive things in life and then i try to not be distracted by all of life’s challenges and negativity (Lord knows there are plenty of those). God is good and he does take care of us. Be blessed!
I really thank God for my wonderful wife.
I love you Lorraine
Love Jeff
I too, thank God for you, Jeff…you truly are a gift to me, our children and my whole family. What amazes me is that God not only understands what we want in life but also, what we need most.
He knows the future the past and the present. I was provided a strong man, a loving husband, a wise father for my children and an always available friend as well. I love you! Love, Lorraine
