Did you ever wonder, what it is about people who have dreams that seem to “magically” come true? Some people have dreams that lay dormant for years being neglected for one reason or another.
Other people, appear to suddenly develop dreams and accomplish them almost by accident. How does that happen?
Then, there are the dreamer’s who hide their dreams in their hearts; doubting that they will come true, even when they are pursuing them. These dreamers intrigue me the most.
What motivates them to find a way to make it happen even when they doubt their eventual success? I think of examples such as Kellie Pickler. She had a boat load of challenges in her life. She could have talked herself out of trying; but she didn’t.
When deciding to pursue the American Idol competition, she saw how many others stood in line and was tempted to forget the whole thing (this according to her website).
Most people are self- aware enough to know what their interests are and where their talents lie. Still, when a dream won’t go away; and, you have a strong desire to try something new…how do you make it happen successfully?
Kellie doubted her chances with so much competition; and yet, she tried to make her dream come true. Others tried as well. What made the difference for her to succeed… where others did not? She might not have won…but she got noticed and made the most of her opportunity.
Maybe it was timing, persistence, or fate; or maybe, it is just what she was born to do.
Only God knows what each of us is supposed to accomplish here on earth. And when that special something is supposed to happen. How many of us jump ahead and try to make things happen the way WE think they are supposed to? I know i have been guilty of that.
I guess it comes down to instinct, and a willingness to wait for an opportunity to be put before us . Then we must somehow summon up the courage to take a chance and be willing to give our dreams a chance to bloom.
In the meantime, if you have a dream that is in your heart…you must prepare the soil, fertilize the ground, keep it watered.
Then, you must wait for the seed so that you can nurture it when given the chance. There could be nothing worse than not being prepared when the time comes. The seed would rot and your dream would die before it got the chance to turn into something beautiful!
Where are your dreams taking you?
