Oh, it would be so very easy to slip into a state of bluedom. Man, it can be overwhelming this time of year with financial woes, job layoffs, illnesses, trauma drama that has been going on with all of our family and friends; not to mention, just dealing with all that comes with this time of year…extra pressure that no one needs.
I am finding it necessary to choose to lose the holiday blues! My doctor said that my blood pressure is way too high. I wonder why? 🙂 It has been very traumatic in my world, lately.
But, this time of year is not mean’t to be gloomy or filled with pressure. So, i am making it a point to be pro-active in my mental and physical health to overcome.
I am going to try my best to focus on the good and beautiful things before me. I am not going to deny the bad…just try to minimize the damage to my well being; and, the well being of those around me.
I will find other people to help out; taking the focus off of my own troubles. Focusing my good energy on someone else can only be a benefit to them as well as myself. I will make it a point to try to do something positive for another person daily (I try to do that anyway…but, i am going to be more aggressive about following through). If i start to gripe and grumble i will re-direct my thoughts (could be a full time job, lol ).
Life is too short to spend un-necessary time being miserable…enough things “happen” to us without adding to it! 🙂 Make a difference today in someone’s life.
