For real people, do we need a reminder that black friday is just about shopping and getting deals on those items. It should not be a battle for your life! Reports today that there were injuries and one death due to the crush of IMPATIENT shoppers trying to get into a Walmart for some nice bargains! This is ridiculous…items on sale are not worth someone’s life…or possible injury. Sure everyone likes to save money…but come on, please let’s not be heartless in the pursuit of saving money. One of the injured was a pregnant woman. There were others who were injured as well. The death was a temporary Walmart employee that was knocked down and killed. Let’s get our priorities in order. Sad statement on the value some people put on things, rather than on other people, in America.

A preview of what is to come. People have become so obcessed in self preservation and comforts they do not care about anyone else. I believe God is making it plain, enough is enough, and this nation is now under final judgement. It is past time for us as a people to act on His promice of 2nd Chronicles 7:14 and should have paid attention after the 2000 election which was a warning. But what did we do? We got sucked in to a political campaign of hate, and where did it get us?
Oh, this incident reinforces how glad I am to be such a home body.
When the 3 wise men brought their gifts to the Baby Jesus, there was a whole different attitude going on from what we see today.
Our hearts go out to the family of that fallen employee and we pray for love to touch and heal hearts of the mob so consumed with getting a deal…

I share your sense of outrage. The American Thanksgiving was once a religious holiday, still should be a time for giving thanks. Can a man’s life be measured by a flat-screen television?

This was so terrible.
Really, are we nothing more than an unthinking mob? The commercial and media industry would certainly answer with a resounding yes! At some point, we are going to have to stop consuming and start thinking, or we will end up figuratively trampling all over ourselves until there is nothing left!
ahh another reason to hate the holidays, i worked in a mall for 2 yrs and yeah there were beatings and mauling and things of that nature. After i woke up at 230 went to radio shack they didn’t have what i wanted, (no deaths or injuries) i decided to be lazy and do it online. In the end no one got hurt! With this story in mind, it makes my heart that much more heavy……
Every year things like this happen, and it sickens me. This is supposed to be something that happens in third world countries where starving people are clamoring for food. I hope the sick, greedy bastards enjoy thier televisions, jewelry, games, and trinkets – I am sure those great deals you brought home were all worth a human life (as long as it happened to somebody they didn’t know). The whole holiday season has lost what little meaning it had. Our society has been reduced to a rabid mob of soulless cattle whose desire to save a few bucks trumps human life. Unbelievable! The fools at Walmart are certainly to blame as well. Extend your god forsaken sales to a whole week and give everyone a chance to buy your China-made crap at their liesure. You’re still going to make plenty of money, which is obviously your only concern. To hell with the lot of you…
This was all so sickening; a blatant disregard for anyone’s well being and the corporations are blaming Walmart for a lack of security??? Why is it their fault that people suddenly have no self control and are acting like animals?
This is absolutely horrible!! I shop every year… I start at around 4 am… but, I would never be that way. Shopping is supposed to be fun, not dangerous. By the way, this is why I avoid Wal-Mart/Best Buy so early on Black Friday.. those people are all about saving money.. not about safety. I will never put my life on the line to save on a new flat screen TV… Not worth it!!!
