Donny Osmond Announces His Competitive Side-On Dancing With The Stars!

      Donny and Marie Osmond were taping a show with comedian Bonnie Hunt when she asked him if he ever considered following Marie on Dancing With The Stars.  Donny grinned and said that he was seriously considering it and then he said, I guess I let the cat out of the bag.  That sounds like a confirmation to me…although, I dont think the contestants have been formally announced for this upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars.

        I dont know how ABC will feel about the premature announcement…but if it is true that he will be on Dancing With The Stars…then I think it will be a fun season.  Remember that Donny sort of did some impromptu interviews behind the scenes when Marie was on. 

        Marie is famous for her witty sense of humor and her ability to razz her brother…all with the trademark Osmond grin.  It will be fun to watch that competitive nature come out between brother and sister.   Not to mention, it gets me wondering who else will be competing against Donny.   Also, wonder who will be Donny’s dancing partner…which pro?  Julianne Hough won’t be back this season last that I heard…so it will be interesting to see this season’s premiere.  Best of Luck Donny ( I am sure Marie will say that you are going to need it!  >wink< >wink<)

Update:  Donny has c0rrected the impression that he gave that he would be on the upcoming season.  He says, he plans or is shooting to be on the fall season of DWTS.

       Thank God for the updates on the news…it has been officially announced by the National Bureau of Economic Research, that the United States is in a RECESSION!  No kidding, Who knew?  Just about everybody except those who should have known–like the people running our economy!!!  Duh!

Don’t Go Pro McCain…Conservatives Warn It Could Cost Him The Presidency

      Here we go, the Republican party is gearing up for next weeks Republican National Convention.  Sen. John McCain is ready to announce his running mate.  Conservative supporters are warning that funding and advertising support can, and will, be withdrawn if he chooses a running mate that is pro-abortion.  Two of the people he is considering as a running mate are pro-choice…that is Sen. Joe Lieberman and former Pennsylvania Govenor Tom Ridge. 

       Of course, abortion is only one issue.  There are many issues to consider such as gay rights, health care, the war and bringing home the military men and women, economy, bank failures, terrorism,foreign policy, housing market, joblessness, federal bailouts in the lending and in transportation, education, cost of living and social security issues…but, with many Democrats unhappy with the elimination of Hillary Clinton as a running mate for Sen. Barack Obama…many of her supporters have pledged their support over to John McCain.  All of these issues is important to voters; but the Republican party is typically conservative.  Conservatives are looking for leadership that is going to reinforce the party’s basic standards as well as provide some economic stability in the country; while at the same time, correcting some of the perceived errors in the present administration.

         Also in the realm of possibility is Minnesota Govenor Tim Pawlenty and former Massachusetts Mitt Romney…both anti-abortion proponents.  With all of the difficulties since the last election, it is a little frightening to be standing on the edge of the unknown this time around.

         Sen. John McCain has to be very careful about who he announces as his pick.  He doesn’t want to exchange many of his supporters, with deep pockets, for those unhappy Democratic supporters.  If he is wise in his choosing of a running mate…those Democrats will be additional voters not replacements for those who were supporters in the first place; it could have a big impact.  

          I guess we are about to find out…as it has been announced that Sen. John McCain has picked his running mate and will announce it to the American public on Friday at noon in Ohio.  His running mate will get the word on Thursday!  I don’t think that people have been this anxious about the political arena as they are this year…but then, most people agree…the climate in the American culture hasn’t been as critical as it seems, at this time…for a great many years.  The outcome is terribly important.  Let’s hope that the running mate is a pick that many can get behind without controversy taking away from the issues at hand.

Big Foot Baloney Busted

       Well, it is sounding “official”…Big Foot Fooey has once again been perpetuated on the public.  There was a big announcement last week about a supposed finding of a big foot body that was going to be examined by scientists and experts.  Yet, when the news conference took place making that announcement…there were more questions then answers.

        Today, a company in Indiana called, Searching For Bigfoot, Inc. has declared that the finders had perpetuated an alledged hoax.    When BigFoot was unthawed…supposedly, it was a rubber costume.  The company is planning to handle this in a legal manner. 

        I think that most people were of the mindset that this whole thing was not real.  The problem is…those who really do research out in the field looking to document animal species that are unknown…have a harder time convincing people when they make legitimate findings of a new “undisclosed” species of animal.  However, some people are going to believe no matter what, in Big Foot.   Those who are trying to prove the “mythical” Big Foot does exist can’t be happy about bringing the whole topic up for what turned out to be another public mocking experience. 

        The thing is…you have to wonder about the men involved in this particular hoax.  I believe that i read that one of the men was a police officer or maybe a former police officer.  I can’t help but wonder, why would someone who is basically a civil servant want to call in to question his (or in any other case) her credibility?  I mean, their job is based on trust and reliability on a day to day basis…why would they want to make their name synonomous with a laughing stock or worse…a liar that had to know that this “hoax” was so easily proven untrue?  Was there money, somehow involved?  I guess some people will do anything for 15 minutes of fame.  I can’t understand any other reason for wanting to do something that “experts” could prove wrong.

       So I guess in this particular case, take two pieces of baloney and put it between two slices of bread and have yourself a  sandwich of, Big Foot Baloney…cause this “hoax” got busted!

It’s A Two-fer For Angelina And Brad

          In a publicity promo for her new movie…Angelina and her co-star Jack Black were sitting side by side when Jack let it slip out that Angelina is pregnant with twins.  Angelina confirmed this impromptu announcement. 

           Angelina and Brad have been under a close eye by the media about this pregnancy.  It was never formally announced; but, in a public appearance in January for the Screen Actor’s Guild she wore an outfit that caused speculation about her being pregnant.

         She has been hounded by media over time about pregnancies and suspected pregnancies…but as in most things…time reveals what is true.  It has been rumoured that she has been having a difficult or uncomfortable pregnancy.  Leave her in peace…pregnancy is often difficult…so, to those who set about making it more difficult for her…leave her be.  It is taxing to bring new life into the world; even more so when you are carrying twins.  That doesn’t even take into account caring for the rest of her children, doing her work as an ambassador and filming as well as promoting her films.

         In any case, this pregnancy is a two-fer for Angelina and Brad.  Since they both have confessed to wanting a large family; it should come as no surprise.  They have the money to care for all of their children.  They spend alot of time with their children and they certainly are wanted. If every parent gave the amount of love and attention their children needed; it would be a better world. Let’s hope that as a family they will be allowed to live in peace and love.

Jennifer Lopez is a mommy

          Jennifer Lopez gave birth to her twins early this morning.  She had a boy and a girl as has been speculated about for months.  I am sure she is filled with joy, anticipation, and even probably some anxiety.

          She has waited a long time for this moment. Her dream of motherhood has now been accomplished.   May God grant them a lifetime of blessings as a family unit.  Jennifer’s husband Marc Anthony has two other children from his first marriage.  With two talented musical parents these children should be genetically gifted in the world of music someday.

          There has been no announcement yet on the names of the children and rumor has it that the first pictures of the twins are being sold to a magazine for mega money.

           There is always such a big media blitz when celebs have their babies when it comes to the first photo’s.  I say if you are going to be in that situation just give rights to who ever you want for publishing the first photo…but if money is exchanged…do something good with it and donate a major portion of it to charity or something.

          All in all…these are two new precious lives.  I am sure they will be loved, protected, and cherished as all newborn children should be.
