For every person who has attempted online, there is a a story or two of an experience of let down regarding expectation either with the marketers product or with their promises. The truth of the matter is that for a while now, some internet marketers have over promised what their products can do and under-delivered what they promised. This has led to a perception that all online marketers are scammers. That just isn’t true.
So, how does someone who has a great product go about getting it known that they have a great product and get people to buy without all of that ugly over the top hypey advertising. This past week a series of three free videos has been released by a JV team of internet marketing specialists that have paired up to teach how they others to make money online. Their approach is unique in the way that they approach one of the hottest niches in the internet marketing world. Paul Counts does the teaching in the video on finding profitable niches. I got to thinking this past week about a strange set of circumstances. My husband, Jeff Wellman and his partners, Dixie Brown & Paul Counts, launched an internet marketing product and the response was so over the top that I was a bit perplexed. I mean…people were calling to say thank you for the customer service, people were amazed that he (the product owner), answered his own phone, people being shocked that he even put his own (real) phone number on the product page.
One caller was so taken aback that he laughed and said he had something all prepared to leave on a voice mail…and, when the phone was answered by the product owner…he didn’t know what to say; now that is kind of funny! The whole response, to this old fashioned way of doing business, was wonderful in an amazing sort of way…it got me thinking; are we so deprived of good customer service that when we experience it, we are flustered enough that we feel we must acknowledge it? 🙂 (more…)
