Do you ever wish you could undo something, un-think something, un-feel something, not know something, not see something—In other words, go back in time and avoid an event or possibly create different circumstances so that something didn’t happen? I’ve often wondered if we could rewind time…how often we would be successful at creating a different outcome? Or would we fall into the same old patterns of behavior in new circumstances?
Think about a moment when you did something that became clear to you that you wished you could go back and undo. Perhaps it was on the computer and you pushed delete, or ok , before you pressed save? Maybe you said something that you couldn’t take back and you hurt another person. Maybe you did something that had terrible consequences…such as a car accident and someone was hurt, or killed. Maybe you made a choice and that choice had a negative effect on the rest of your life. Maybe you made a life changing decision and announced it; and, from the moment you said it…things were never the same again.
You know, the kind of situation where a complete moment of panic and understanding set in, making you wish that things were different. If you could go back and redo things…what would you do, say, think, or feel differently? What can you do differently to prevent yourself from repeating negative patterns of behavior?

Twitter is quickly becoming a way of life for many businesses and folks. Anytime twitter shows a fail whale…(the symbol a person sees when trying to access Twitter and its service is unavailable) people quickly bemoan the fact that they can’t get on. 🙂 The fail whale doesn’t usually last long…I’ve only seen it a few times; briefly, when it was over capacity with Twitter users. Twitter is a mini social site that is quickly becoming a large social media site; the idea is to answer in 140 characters or less the question, ” What are you doing?”. Often, I hear other users say that they quickly become “addicted” to Twitter. The service has spawned a bunch of books on Twitter etiquette….rules or no rules use. Reasons for using Twitter is as varied as the number of people you ask…everyone has their own reasons for using it. Relationships are built online…everyone has equal access to other users…both famous and non-famous users. The latest controvery of this company which has been in business for approximately 3 years is…should they charge a fee for their services?
So far, the Twitter service is free. There is some discussion about whether businesses may be charged to use Twitter in the future. People are still discovering Twitter and all that it can do. Many people of course, use Twitter as a social networking service for their personal communication; others, are trying to find ways to use it to brand their businesses.
Twitter has been uber successful in their goals of creating a mini social networking site. At the end of 2008, Twitter rejected a bid for purchase by Facebook of $500 million. To me, that means that they view their value as well over that $500 million; and it means to me that Facebook considers it a huge competitor. Still, to stay competitive with Facebook as well as other large entities…Twitter will need to make money to stay alive and growing.
Businesses have to make money somewhere to stay in business and pay their own employees. Do they raise funds by putting advertising on their service, by charging for upgraded services for business accounts, or maybe charge a membership fee? What do you think? Do you use Twitter? What are your thoughts on this subject?

Do you ever wonder what your personal responsibilities are? I mean, most people understand that they must work, take care of their children, nuture their personal relationships, and pay their bills; what else is there? Being a responsible person is a way of life; are you required to take care of others outside the close personal limits of your immediate family? Who and what are you responsible for? Are there limits to your responsibilty legally, physically, spiritually, emotionally or morally?
Have you ever heard the saying, “Are you your brother’s keeper”? Human beings are complex creatures. We have layers of self, one upon the other…each with their own wants and needs. For those who are spiritual seekers of truth; there are teachings which encourage us to reach beyond the demands of our own personal flesh-n- blood, wants and needs. My road map is the Bible. Everything i need to know to be a successful and fulfilled person is included in that instruction manual.
God wants us to follow his leading; we are to grow and learn how to praise him and serve others. This is not always convienent in today’s society, according to the world’s values. That attitude of becoming a servant requires a bit of sacrifice on our part. Many people run from their own responsibilities and refuse to accept that they have a moral responsibility to reach out to others. And there are others who do not consider themselves spiritual beings who still manage to be service minded…realizing that there is value to connecting with and recognizing need in others.
Understand, I am not talking about enabling others to continue to be irresponsible…but instead, teaching and inspiring others to take up the challenge of meeting their own obligations when they are able. To do that, they must be inspired, they must have knowledge, skills, opportunities and funding…once that happens, they too can become a servant to pass it on to others.
Responsibility is something that we must strive for. When everything is going smoothly…it is because we have acknowledged our responsibilities and have submitted ourselves to the service of God.
God says that we are to take care of the widows and the children; we are to befriend the poor. When we see suffering in the world and we have the ability, the skill, the opportunity to help ,then we must consider it a priviledge and a responsibility to do so. What are you willing to do for those around you? Do you know someone who has a need? Can you listen when someone needs to talk, can you spend time with someone who is lonely, are you capable of performing a chore that someone else cant do and needs done?
There are so many ways to be of service to another fellow human being…it is simply a matter of being aware and observing those around you and being willing to be helpful. People in need are all around us…it will change your life to see the world through the eye and heart of a servant of God.

Baby don’t cry…it is not your fault. When you are old enough to know your story…know that it is not your fault. It has happened for generations…people abandon their children. It is wrong, but they do it for many reasons…all sad reasons, all heartbreaking…but, what it comes down to is a lacking.
A lacking of something that is required to parent you little one. Some parents are lacking money, some are lacking appropriate housing or clothing, some are lacking parenting skills. Even worse, some are lacking a very basic, important connection…a bonding of parent to child; it is called love. This is not normal. This is not your fault. The lacking is theirs and theirs alone; don’t let it define you. Their failure to provide what you need does not wipe away your right to have those things that children need to grow and be whole. You deserve to have what every child should have…love and acceptance.
There are many who would adopt you; love you and give you everything you need to be successful in life. It is sad that your birth parents could not for whatever reason of lacking, be the people to give you what you need. However, when you are able to read and understand it all…hopefully, you will have been adopted and cared for appropriately. I hope that you received that love; and, now know that you are part of a family who wanted you, and needed you to be part of them. The parts of you that feel empty or unfulfilled, because of the unknowns about your birth family, probably will never be fully satisfied. Let it be enough to know that the circumstances that lead to your being abandonned are not a statement of anything that was wrong with you as a person.
A small newborn child was abandoned in Charlotte, North Carolina in the last few days. Children are being abandoned all around the world. There are many who would love these children were they to enter into the foster/adoptive legal system in the right kind of way. Why are parents dumping their children?
When you are able to read this, or some other piece that addresses such issues…and you have learned about your abandonment; don’t try to seek further information. It will only hurt you more. There are no answers that will satisfy your heart’s desire to be loved and accepted by the people who gave you up. For each answer that is given to justify such actions will just trigger another “what if you had done this or that…could you have kept me then” question. It is a never ending circle of emotional hurt.
It is not a reflection upon you…babies and children are easy to love. You have done nothing wrong to be rejected…it is a fault inside of that person that by some miracle was able to give you life. Unfortunately, abortion (infant death) is an option in today’s world..so, choosing life was a very positive thing. Maybe that is the most that they had to give you; LIFE, it IS an important gift.
Your true source of life comes from God above. You are here in this world because he values you…you are here for a purpose. Discover what your purpose is and live it to the fullest…do not be destroyed by feelings of rejection or inferority. You are worthy of all the best that life has to give you. Your beginnings do not have to set a negative standard for the rest of your life. Take your gift and all that you have been able to receive and enjoy since the time of your birth and make something of yourself. Be a giver, be an encourager…be the embodiement of what your birth parents lacked. Be a giver and a receiver of Love. Do you think that the impact of your birth can make a positive difference in the world? I do, every life has value to offer the world. Reader, do you know someone who has been rejected or abandoned…were they able to turn their difficult beginnings into a positive, productive life?

Titanic, the US economy & rescue boats; what do they have in common? Much! Do you remember seeing the pictures of the Titanic ship as she prepared for her maiden voyage? It was large, it was the ultimate in luxury and it was celebrated as “unsinkable”. The US economy has sort of lived in luxury even if it has been on “borrowed/credit” monies. I think many thought the structure of the US economy was unsinkable as well. We now know differently because of the financial crisis that many have been working so hard to “rescue”. It is common sense, if you live outside of your means to pay for it…you will loose it all.
While i think we will probably be saved from the fate of most of the passengers and crew of the Titanic; there are some who will definately suffer. This morning on the news programs it was announced that the biparisan effort to “fix” the economy has reached a tenative agreement on the way to do that.
What we need to do is wait to see the methods that are employed in this fix- it solution. Waiting feels a bit wrong because things are so very important and desperate for many Americans. There has been suffering already. Some of the suffers have already been in extreme situations…loosing their homes, filing bankruptsy, working more than one job trying to make ends meet; some have been successful in changing their financial direction and some were not. Hearing that taxpayers are going to have to fix this problem with more taxes when they are already pushed against the wall is terrifying. So, some quick explanations of this “bailout” is very important to calming the fears of the public.
It is going to be crucial to learn lessons from the Titanic experience. Even now, knowing that it sunk, knowing that lives were lost…do you think that if the passengers and crew on that ship had each had a bucket and a will to survive that they would not have made the trip up and down the stairs to make an attempt, several times over, to try to bail out the water in the bowels of that ship? Of course they would have.
Had that ship had more lifeboats (rescue boats in our case) would more lives have been saved? Certainly. So, What does the Titanic ship and the US economy have in common…they both needed rescuing, they both carried movers and shakers, people had a vested interest in saving them both, lives were and are at stake in both situations. Can the US economy survive when the Titanic ship did not? It is possible!
Let’s pray that the bi-partisan plan has figured in enough rescue boats to save not ONLY the large banking systems, the mortgage companies, the credit card organizations; but, the people at the base of each of those situations…the taxpayers…the recipients of those services. The little people who are drowning in the flood as we speak need their own rescue ships; or, the overall plan will fail. The future impact of this bailout is not only important to the US but to the global economy as well.
We must not forget that any of those businesses cannot possibly make a comeback if the little people can NOT afford to make use of those services…and, they can’t do that if they are loosing their jobs, their homes, their families to the high cost of living! We all want and need to survive…the will to survive is there; if there are enough rescue ships in this plan, we may just be able to keep the ship of the US economy floating long enough to make it healthy again. We all may be traveling at a lower level than luxury or first class…but, that is alright…at least we will have the chance to recover. We just have to adjust how we think and make choices in our day to day lives that are within our means to pay for them…what a novel idea!

Do you have enough money? How much is enough? If you are like most Americans then you; are in debt, struggling to pay for your child’s college education, rotating your bills, borrowing against your retirement benefits when in a bind, and you have little or no savings for an emergency; and, maybe you wrestle with providing care for your aging parents as well. Times are tough for alot of people…there are very few jobs that have real security for the employees these days. Employers are picking up and moving out of local areas and many are even setting up shop, out of the country.
It is hard to find stability in the job market. The economy is rocky and that filters down to everyday people, like you and I; many of whom are facing foreclosure on their homes because of their financial situations.
Do you have enough money to provide yourself with all that you need to survive? Do you have enough money to live comfortably now; AND, in the future? If not, you are not alone in your struggles. There is a system that can help you to place yourself in a better position, so that your future doesn’t depend on some corporate administrator’s latest, cost cutting measure. http://www.layoffyourboss2.com/ (more…)

If you are one of my regular readers, you know that i don’t do this type of posting often. However, Petey is a young man who is suffering from a FATAL disease called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is going to be 13 years old on the 18th of April. Petey is in NEED people, in a big way! http://petey.heartheirstories.com/.
Petey was recently upgraded to a power wheel chair; the kind that weigh a couple hundred pounds and take several people to load into a vehicle. That presents more than a few problems, as you can imagine, when you don’t even have a vehicle.
Not to worry…Petey has friends who care. Petey’s friends are trying to raise money to get him a wheel chair accessible van. Now, that wheel chair accessible van doesn’t come cheap. Petey is in a very large family (9 children and he is the second to the youngest) and no one in the family has a driver’s license or a vehicle, yet. That will all change with some $$ help. http://petey.heartheirstories.com/.
Jason Marshall, from Joel Comm’s The Next Internet Millionaire show, is one of Petey’s good friends; and, he is heading the campaign to raise the approximately $40,000.00 for that life changing van.
Jason is also an internet marketer, with a big heart. He is a man of faith. He hopes to rally people to either donate monies; or, purchase some incredible internet marketing tools for a mere price of $47.00 from some really successful internet marketers who are donating some great goods worth a grand total value of 2,487.00 ! Wow, that is amazing trust me. People really do care…they want to make Petey’s 13th birthday a day to remember!
If you aren’t interested in internet marketing tools don’t let that stop you from just going to the sales page and donating whatever your heart and your finances will allow. If you have been blessed with a healthy body…go there and donate. If you know someone who has been affected by a muscle disease…please go and donate.
Help Petey….go to this address: http://petey.heartheirstories.com/. Come on, some corporate sponsor’s support wouldn’t hurt either…how about it Ford, Chevy, Pontiac, Honda, Chrysler…Petey needs transportation. Check out: http://www.mda.org/.
