Last night’s competition on dancing with the stars was outstanding.  The group dance that began the show was awesome to see.  The teamwork and genuine joy of working together for these three competitor teams was obvious to see.  They like each other…they really like each other.  When the individual dances began, Kristi and her partner Mark set a standard that looked impossible to beat.  I think to myself as i watched it….the Gucch has got it!  The showman in her just can’t help but ooze through her pores.  But, she competes with style not with a mean bone in her body.

Then Jason and Edyta started their dance and it was fireworks from the beginning.  Boom, there they were…somehow though, i don’t know how it happened…they both seemed to have costume malfunctions…they each “lost” pieces of clothing!  LOL The song was hot and so was the dance.

Then, right before Christian and Cheryl began their dance; Samantha was awkwardly interviewing Jason.  She made references to the media buzz surrounding Christian and Jason’s newfound friendship.  Jason with a wry grin said, that was last week!  🙂  His sense of humor comes through.  I loved seeing him with his children.

Christian and Cheryl’s dance was good.  After all, he was not capable of doing the high flying of Kristi and Marks dance, he wasn’t able to lift his partner Cheryl in competitive lifts the way Jason was able to smoothly lift Edyta, but what he did have was Latin blood pumping through his veins and it brought a salsa side dish to the dance.  His surgery is scheduled for Friday.  His dance was good.   I am just afraid with the injury….Kristi’s dance was more advanced; advanced to the point of winning the trophy.

Of course, it all comes down to the wire with the votes of the fans.  That could, as always, change everything!  This year’s finale was great.  No disappointments here, no matter who you support!

Tonight’s episode of Dancing With The Stars was filled up to the last minute with drama; partly because of Christian’s arm injury.  He has to have surgery because of a bicep tendon rupture from last evening’s performance.

Christian talked to the doctor, right before tonight’s show; and, he said that it would be ok to delay the surgery if Christian was able to stay in the competition.  Now that is commitment.  The voters, along with the judges scores did in fact keep him in the competition.

So, it was an smiling, beautiful Shannon Elizabeth, who was obviously a bit emotional, who will say Ta Ta to her fans this week…she is out of the competiton.  The bottom two positions were taken up by Shannon Elizabeth and her partner Derek, and the other couple was Marissa and Tony.  I am feeling badly for Shannon and Derek…but, i am thrilled that Marissa has another week in the competition.  I was very proud of her performances this week.

Everyone has been so loving with each other…meaning the competitors.  They are all very supportive of one another.  So…another week begins…here is ’til monday!

It is going to be a semi- warm day today, with some breeze.  We are offering to go and do yard work for someone who just had surgery.  This isn’t really someone who attends our church (regularily). He has loved ones who do.

This is someone who could really benefit from all that God has to offer.  He has sort of had a difficult time in life, ya know.  But often we hear through the grapevine; that more often than not, it is not words of praise for God or his people that this person concentrates on.  He is somewhat negative.

Some people would say (and have); why go and do good deeds for someone who doesn’t have nice things to say about Christians or the church.  Well, truth be told, human nature says…forget about that person.  If they aren’t going to appreciate what you try to do for them…move on to someone who will.  Wrong…that isn’t what God expects or commands us to do. Cancer

Well, I found out a few hours ago that another wonderful friend of mine named ” M” has cancer.  He went through surgery today for a “mass” in the intestines that they thought was pre-cancerous.

Not so.  They removed the mass but it is cancer.  So, he will be in the hospital healing for the next week or so (no small feat since they had to reconnect the intestines after removing the mass).  While there, he and his wife ” C”  will be dicussing with the doctors the plan of attack on the cancer.

Chemo or radiation or a combination of both.  Thank God, he didn’t have to have the bag even temporarily after surgery.  Where they live they have to travel some distance to the VA hospital to receive services.  Having a bag would have been manageable but difficult.

I am sad.  In the last three years we have had many friends and family face cancer and all that goes along with the treatments.  It is a difficult thing.  When  “M” went in for surgery he said…don’t worry…i will be fine.  I believe he will.  I do.   I just hate for him to have to go through it.  They live quite a long distance from us…a couple thousand miles i think.  Wish we all lived closer.  In any case, I am praying for a speedy recovery and lots of wisdom for the doctors and my friends; as well as, God’s grace during this healing time.
