The earth cries out in grief, and humanity is groaning, in it’s misery; do you hear it?  Cyclones hit Myanmar thousands and thousands are dead, homeless, thirsty, starving.  China is shaken to it’s core by the earthquake that has also killed thousands.  Sumatra was washed away from the Tsunnami and thousands and thousands are dead and lost.  Katrina hit the United States and flooded homes and businessess and left lives in devastation.  Wildfires are consuming buildings, homes, and wildlife and millions of acres around the world due to droughts.  Famines hit the parched lands inflaming lands already hit with starvation.  The ice shelves are melting in the Artic.   Tornados drop in and in seconds wipe away generations of people as well as places.  Hurricanes heap destruction upon land and seas.

Do you not feel nature rebelling, against the inhabitants of the planet earth?  The intensity of these disasters and storms has increased dramatically in the last decade or two.  They are increasing in number as well;  we must listen.

Why, what is all of this chaos trying to teach us?  Has the careless actions of generations before us finally reached the peak of what nature can endure without self-destructing. The way we live today is impacting the world; and not for the better.   Are we being taught now that we must be good stewards of the gifts given to us by the Creator?  Yes!

Greenhouse gasses are contributing, lack of conservation of trees, farmland,  and bodies of water, and poor utilization of landfills,  are all destroying our environment.

Being ignorant, lazy, un-informed or misguided, are no longer acceptable excuses.  Suffering and death, on a regular large scale basis, is going to be a way of life, if we don’t wise up soon.  Making smarter, safer, greener choices can only slow down the effects of the damage we have caused.  But we must start now…if we hope to have any chance of restoring the precious balance that is nature.  It is going to take courage and committment.

Our two new pups became bathing beauties today.  They did not appreciate the experience!  LOL  Evidently (they are only 6 weeks old), they have had the pleasure of a bath before because, they started whinning as soon as they saw the tub of water.

They are adorable black lab mixed dogs.  By nature they should love water.   The pups then thought it was a house of torture to be toweled; and then fluffed with the hair dryer on the lowest setting.  Their hair just shines now.  Such pretty babies they are.

It was absolutely entertaining watching them then, put their heads down and push their shoulders and whatever other body parts they could along on the carpet and the edge of the couch in an attempt to dry off more and get comfortable again.

The kids loved being their heros after the experience by cuddling and laughing at them as they snuggled in for comfort.

I can’t say much for the smell of wet dog except to say that on the kids movie, Monster’s Inc, when they talk about putting on stinky under arm “orderant” called wet dog everyone knows exactly the smell they are talking about.  Not very pleasant…good thing they are absolutely cute puppies!

It is too bad puppies can’t stay so adorable as they age.  They will have their own adorability as they age but there is nothing like a baby puppy to entertain and warm your heart with their antics!

Of course, wouldn’t ya know it…my hubby has gone out of town and those terrible wicked storms that have been moving across the states are here.  Funnel clouds have been sighted in my county in the last few hours and more storms are forming and coming across Lake Michigan.

Hail up to two inches in diameter; winds that are 60-65 miles an hour with gusts up to 95.  Unreal winds.  And lightening and rain and winds that rotate….meaning tornados.  So, we prepare to head to the basement.  Candles, flashlights…water…chairs and blankets.  Fun,fun, fun…thank God for radar.
